Wendy Horn Obituary

Wendy S. Horn, 64, of Turbotville, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, at Nottingham Village. Born on October 10, 1960, in Sunbury, Wendy was a woman of remarkable courage, selflessness, and passion. She was a devoted daughter, loving wife, caring mother, cherished sister, and a friend to many.

Wendy was a proud graduate of Shikellamy High School's class of 1978, after which she honorably served her country in the U.S. Army. Following her military service, Wendy dedicated 42 years to the Geisinger Health System where she was known for her exceptional work ethic and her ability to support her team as a specialist in the customer service division.

She was the beloved daughter of Janet (Lauver) Lindenmuth and the late Wayne L. Lindenmuth. Wendy was the treasured wife of Thomas W. "Tom" Horn and the proud mother of Phillip "Phil" Horn. Her love extended to her siblings, Lori Kipple (Tim), Gary Lindenmuth (Tracy), and Greg Lindenmuth (Dawn). She was preceded in death by her brother Jeff Lindenmuth. Her life was further enriched by the presence of numerous nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and many friends.

Wendy's faith was an integral part of her life. She was a current member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Jersey Shore and grew up attending Stonington Baptist Church in Stonington. Her commitment to her community was evident through her long-standing memberships with the Elysburg and Norry Gun Clubs, where she was a member between the two clubs for 38 years. Wendy also dedicated 23 years of service at the Northumberland County Fair.

Her personal interests were a reflection of her vibrant spirit. Wendy collected Winnie the Pooh memorabilia and was an advocate for Breast Cancer Awareness. She was a voracious reader, particularly enjoying the works of authors Danielle Steel and Nicholas Sparks, often sharing hard copies of their books with her sister Lori.

What mattered most to Wendy, was loving and caring for her family. Her selfless nature meant she often put the needs of others before her own. Wendy's memory will be cherished and kept alive through the countless lives she touched.
