Ward R. "Bob" Bennett Jr., 77, of Williamsport, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Rose View Center. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Barbara J. "Barb" (Germello) Bennett.
Born April 26, 1947 in Williamsport, he was a son of Ward R. Bennett of Montoursville and the late Eleanore J. (Cline) Bennett.
Bob was a graduate of the Williamsport Area High School. After graduation, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. Following his military service, Bob dedicated many years to Centre Concrete as a concrete truck driver.
Bob was a life member of the Muncy American Legion Post 268and loved going country dancing, a hobby he enjoyed at the local VFW and American Legion posts. Bob and his late wife, Barb, enjoyed roller skating, taking walks and going on hikes together.
Surviving is his son, Jody W. Bennett (Erin), of Clarksville, TN; a granddaughter, Lily C. Bennett; and his siblings, Jean Plankenhorn (Gary), Larry Bennett (Ann), Terry Bennett (Sue), and George Bennett (Kathi).
A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ward’s name to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 862 Carnegie, PA 15106.
