Wanda Jedrziewski Obituary

Wanda Jedrziewski, 87, of Williamsport, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Stanley T. "Stash" Jedrziewski on December 2, 2011.

Born December 2, 1936, in Osceola Mills, she was a daughter of the late Felix and Mary (Wilson) Malicki.

A graduate of Osceola Mills High School, Wanda's pursuit of knowledge and her desire to care for others led her to Temple University, where she graduated as a registered nurse in 1957.

Her career in nursing was a testament to her nurturing spirit, and she provided comfort and care to countless individuals with her gentle touch and warm smile. After starting her family, Wanda transitioned from her professional role as a nurse to the equally important role of a homemaker. Wanda's commitment to her family was unwavering, and she was always involved in their activities, ensuring that her presence was a cornerstone of their upbringing.

Wanda was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish and served as a 4H leader in her younger years. Above all, Wanda's most treasured moments were those spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her three children, Elizabeth J. VanBuren of NY, Vincent J. Jedrziewski (Tina) of Williamsport, and Rita M. Jedrziewski (Daniel Armbrust), CA; six grandchildren, Kathryn, Kira, Aaron, Natasha, Julia, and Elijah; two great-grandchildren, Ella and Alice; five siblings, MaryAnne Berryman of WA, Raymond Malicki of Philipsburg, Barbara Rooney of MT, and Janet Hauth of Osceola Mills.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday, January 22, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish 702 West Fourth Street, Williamsport with the Rev. David W. Bechtel officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Osceola Mills.

The family will provide the flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wanda’s name to the Susquehanna Health Foundation C/O Home Care and Hospice 1001 Grampian Blvd. Williamsport, PA 17701.
