Victor L Fox, 75, of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2026 at his mother-in- laws’ home in Cogan Station. He married the former Cynthia F Carlisle in November of 1997, and together they were married 28 years at the time of his passing. Victor was born December 8th, 1950, in Williamsport to parents Laverne E Fox and Clarice I Fox, who preceded him in death.
Victor was an adventurous soul and at the age of 19, enlisted in the Army with the 101st Airborne and spent a year in Vietnam. He returned to the U.S. and finished his military service at Fort Meade, Maryland. He loved to travel and rode his motorcycle across the U.S. and drove up through Canada and Alaska. He loved his friends and family and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved tinkering with wood and using his hands to build things. He loved to play chess and was an avid reader. He loved cats and rescued many in his lifetime.
Victor is survived by his wife, Cynthia Fox; sister Cheryl Schainholz; stepdaughters Tara (Darren) Kitchen, and Katie (Jason Stants) Updegraff; daughters Shelly (Jen) Hornbaker and Beth (Casey) Hannaman; grandchildren, Marilyn Fleming, Kevin Fleming, Dylan Collister, Paige Collister, Caleb Hannaman, Chance Hannaman, Cadance Hannaman, Daydra Hannaman, Zandra Murphy, Chantyll Flowers, Cheyenne Hannaman, Chakyrah Hannaman, Kayla Schmoke-Pringle, Kerri Schmoke Hyson, and great granddaughter, Iris Fleming; nieces Anita Cagle, Sarah Frank, Cynthia Bragg, Susan Kern, and nephews Richard "Butch” Aten and Kyle Caffas. Besides his parents, Victor was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Caffas; brothers, Scott Fox and Jeff Fox; mother-in-law, Faye Carlisle-Thomas, father- in- law Robert Thomas, and brothers- in- law Mark Carlisle, Mike Carlisle l, and Scott Carlisle
There will be a Celebration of Life in August. The family suggests contributions be made to an animal shelter of your choosing.
