Tyler James Steves, "Forever 28"
Tyler was born in Wellsboro, PA on April 2nd, 1997, and passed away unexpectedly at Arnot Ogden Hospital, NY on Friday, February 20th, 2026. Tyler was residing in NY with his partner.
Tyler is survived by his mother, Brenda Bills (Rick Shoemaker), sister, Brittany Steves (Mary Gottschall), sister, Amber Shoemaker (Scot Boyce Jr.), and brother, Rick Shoemaker (Angie Shoemaker). Also survived by his aunt, Sheila Bills and lots of cousins.
Tyler attended Liberty Jr/Sr High School where he made lifelong friends with Karisa Bialas, Rachael Kirkner, and Kelly Reynolds. Later to meet Sarah Roberson when they worked together at the Airport.
Tyler loved his mom's cooking! He loved camping, hiking, music, and quoting all his favorite movie lines. He cherished time with his friends, family and his niece and nephews.
Tyler was preceded in death by his uncle, Barry Bills, grandfather, James Bills, grandmother, Sandra Bills, and a nephew, Bryson Shoemaker.
A memorial service to honor Tyler’s life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. A visitation will be prior from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the funeral home.
