Thomas E. "Tom" Davis

     Thomas Edward Davis, Sr., 94 of Montoursville passed away October 10, 2023 at Valley View Nursing Center.

    Born January 26, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Maynard V. Davis and Mary Margaret (Deffley) Davis.  Tom’s wife Evelyn Reis Davis passed away December 17, 2018.

    Tom was a 1946 graduate of South Williamsport High School where he was class President, excellent student, performed in class plays, an athlete of Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Track and received a scholarship to Bloomsburg University. 

    Tom worked for Bell Telephone and the Lycoming County Assistance Office.

    Tom and Evelyn loved all nine children, 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  They enjoyed traveling, golf, playing cards and dancing.  Tom was an avid reader he had a list of books he read and crossword puzzles games to keep an active mind.

    Tom was loved and cherished by his nine children, Ellen Daivs (Sandy), Daine Cosgrove (Michael), David Johnson (Debbie), Vicki Webber, Sheri Wisby, Tina Short (Jim), Tim Davis (Kara); a brother, Jim Davis and daughter-in-law, Kathryn Davis.

    In addition to his parents and his wife Evelyn, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Edward Davis, Jr., a daughter Debbie Johnson Roig, three grandsons, Cody Davis, Travis Ford, and John Steele, and a granddaughter, Kelsey Steele.  With in our hearts and in our memories those we love remain with us always.

    The family of Thomas would like to express their many thanks for the exceptional care, Tom received while at Valley View Nursing Center.
