Shawn D. Reeder

Shawn D. “Nawny” Reeder, 51, of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 in her sleep at home, surrounded by family.

Born March 13, 1972 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Kitty (Reeder) Dowling and the late Norman L. Dowling.

Shawn had various jobs as a cook in many places but was proud to be a caregiver to children and family throughout her life. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and would spend hours taking her kids out to dinner and to the park to play. Shawn was known for being willing to do anything for anyone.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Reeder (Wendy) of Cogan Station, and Scott Reeder of Marsh Hill; three daughters, Dreana Reeder, Alanté Reeder, and Charlee Reeder; five grandchildren, Tyshawn Reeder, Kaieem Locke, Anari Jackson, Zayon Reeder, and Akai Reeder; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at English Center Cemetery.
