Scott E. DeGarmo

     Scott E. DeGarmo, 92, of South Williamsport, died Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Rose View Center. He was preceded in death by his wife Edith Sylvia (Heaton) DeGarmo on June 26,  2013.

     Born February 6, 1928, in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late Edgar and Annie (Eyer) DeGarmo.

     Scott attended Lock Haven School District and worked various jobs including the Lock Haven Taxi Company and Rishel Furniture Company. After his retirement Scott worked odd jobs to keep him busy.

     Scott enjoyed country western music, gospel music, and western movies. Most of all Scott was his happiest when helping people beyond his own means.

     Surviving are his sons Harold DeGarmo (Kong)  of Killeen, TX, Dave DeGarmo (Tammy), of Williamsport,  Melvin DeGarmo (Bonnie), of Williamsport, Donnie DeGarmo (Mariam), of Milesburg, Walter DeGarmo (Chris), of South Williamsport, and Timothy DeGarmo of Williamsport; daughters Barbara Miller and Marjorie Watkins both of Williamsport; 11 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and eight step-great grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by a son Steven DeGarmo, two daughters Rebecca Watkins and Carol DeGarmo, and two grandchildren.

     Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

     In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Scott’s name to the Salvation Army Church 457 Market St, Williamsport, PA 17701.
