Samantha R. (Morris) "Sam" Gross

     Samantha R. "Sam" Gross, 49, of Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at her home.

     Born on May 11, 1974, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Miller) Morris.

     She attended the Williamsport Area High School, class of 1992. She was currently furthering her education at the Pennsylvania College of Technology, pursuing her passion for nursing. Sam was a caring and dedicated worker at a home health facility. Sam also had a successful period of selling Mary Kay Cosmetics and worked at several salons in the cosmetology field.

     Sam had a love for the simple pleasures. She enjoyed flowers, her dog, Oliver, reading, and above all, her children were her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

     Sam was a devoted mother to her two children, Madalyn P. Gross (Drake Mankey) and Lucas A. Gross (Shyanna Ashton), both of Williamsport; a brother Arthur Morris Jr. (Jamie) of Palmyra; her best friend, Janice Solecki; faithful dog, Oliver; and she maintained a friendship with her ex-husband of 21 years, Kerry W. Gross.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Penny Salvatori.

     A visitation to honor the life of Sam will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 16 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home 1914 Memorial Avenue, Williamsport. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, November 17 in Wildwood Cemetery.
