   Royce G. Hostrander, 98, of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Lois J. (Myers).

     Born Oct. 5, 1922, in Canton, he was a son of the late Edward L. and Mabel (Carl) Hostrander.

     Royce served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and received an honorable discharge. He later retired from Bethlehem Steel as a machinist. Royce was a member of St. John’s-Newberry United Methodist Church, Lycoming Creek Lions Club, and the Winnebago Club. He enjoyed camping, reading and loved to play the organ.

     Surviving are his children; Keith R. Hostrander (Sally), of Hershey, Marilyn A. Zay (Chester) and Lana J. Encke (William), both of Linden; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

     In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers Pete, Richard, Carl, and Harold Hostrander and three sisters Nora Tebbin, Thelma Monks and Geraldine Myers.

     Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held in Jersey Shore Cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Royce’s name to St. John’s- Newberry United Methodist Church 2101 Newberry St, Williamsport, PA 17701 or to the American Cancer Society 320 Bilmar Drive Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
