Ronald O. "Ron" Young, Sr.

     Ronald O. "Ron" Young Sr., 57, of Montgomery, passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2018, at his home.

     Born Nov. 20, 1960, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Merril Young and Evelyn (Brown) Young, of North Carolina. 

     Ron was currently employed at Kidron as an assembly line leader. He was a sports fanatic and enjoyed having family and friends over to watch football games, especially his favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers. He also enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and the Chicago Bulls. Ron truly loved life and lived life to its fullest. Ron was always willing to help anyone in need and was loved by everyone he met and was sure to make an impact in their lives. 

     Surviving are his five children, Ronald O. Young Jr., Jazmine C. Young, Adrianna Young, Lexi Wagner, all of Williamsport, and Keisha Chase, of New York; a brother, Darryl Young, his grandchildren, Ronald O. Young III and Rayna L. Young; and three grandchildren; and his former spouse, Elizabeth Young. 

     A funeral service to honor the life of Ron will be held 1 p.m. Monday, June 18 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
