Robert K. “Bob” Gibbs, Jr.,83, of Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from an automobile accident. Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Constance M. (Bordner) Gibbs.
Born November 17, 1940, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Robert K. Gibbs, Sr. and Edna K. (Able) Gibbs.
Bob attended the Williamsport Area School District before joining the U.S. Navy and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. Bob later retired from Axeman-Anderson Co. after more than 40 years as a shipping and receiving clerk.
Bob was a member of the American Legion Post #1, Williamsport and the Forty & Eight Voiture #382. Bob enjoyed bowling, going to casinos, and gambling. Most of all Bob loved spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter, Michelle M. Gibbs of Williamsport; three grandchildren Tionna, Austin, and Zachary Rishel; a great-grandson on the way in December; a brother Walter “Smoke” Gibbs of Williamsport; a sister Cathy Gibbs of Williamsport; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at the convenience of the family.
