Robert W. Fryer

Robert W. Fryer, 81, of Jersey Shore, passed away peacefully Monday, August 11, 2025. He is reunited with his wife of 13 years, Sherry K. (Cohick) Fryer, who passed away earlier this year.

Born January 16, 1944 in Jersey Shore, he was a son of the late Fred and Ruby (Miller) Fryer.

Robert served his country proudly in the US Army National Guard for 20 years. After his military service, he worked as a butcher for Thompson’s Packing Company until his retirement. He enjoyed reading the daily newspaper and war history books. You could often find him out for a walk or socializing at the Jersey Shore Eagles, Moose and V.F.W. Post #5859.

Surviving is a daughter, Bobbi Sue Calhoun (Ron); two grandchildren and several extended family members. Additionally, he had three brothers, Lloyd, Bruce and Jerry and three sisters, Wanda, Janet and Ann.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
