Robert W. "Bobby" Sholder, Jr.

Robert W. "Bobby" Sholder, Jr., 39, of Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 28, 2024. Surviving is his loving and devoted wife, Skyler J. (McCulley) Sholder.

Born on December 10, 1984, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Robert W. Sholder, Sr. and Janice L. (Walton) Sholder, of Williamsport. 

A 2003 graduate of Williamsport Area High School, Bobby furthered his education at Pennsylvania College of Technology, where he studied Diesel Technology.

Bobby's professional journey began during his high school years at Fry's Machinery, where he developed a strong work ethic and a love for machinery. At the time of his passing, he was a respected lowboy driver at Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc., where his colleagues valued his dedication.

Beyond his work, Bobby was an active member of the Cherry Ridge Cottage hunting cabin, serving as vice president. Farming and trucking were more than just hobbies to Bobby, they brought purpose and joy to his life. Most of all Bobby loved spending time with his family. 

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are his two beloved children, Cord R. Sholder and Wyatt R. Sholder; his brother, Fred O. Sholder (Kelly), of Williamsport; two nieces, Kristen L. Smith and Emily M. Sholder, and dog, Ellie.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his cherished dogs, Diesel and Copper, who were undoubtedly waiting to greet him on the other side.

A memorial service to honor the life of Bobby will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home 1914 Memorial Avenue, Williamsport. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
