Phyllis Marie (Young) Stidfole

Phyllis Marie (Young) Stidfole, 95, passed peacefully on Sunday, September 29, 2024 in Lewistown.

She was born September 4,1929 in McVeytown, the fifth child of twelve to the late Harry and Laura Young.

Phyllis was always so full of life and enjoyed talking to everyone. She enjoyed listening to her treasured vinyl records, dancing, reading, sewing, and crocheting but most of all she enjoyed cooking delicious food and sharing it with everyone. Some of her most requested items were her salmon cakes and her fried fish. She was a wonderful cook.

She is survived by her children, Merrill David Stidfole of the Philippines, Robert Stidfole (Carol) of SC, Michelle Auger (Jeff) of NH, Maryellen Ferguson (David) of SC, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill Davis Stidfole, daughter, Naomi (Stidfole) Bush-Reed, and granddaughter, Jacqueline Bush.

A funeral service to honor the life of Phyllis will be held 12 p.m., Thursday, October 10 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Avenue, Williamsport. Interment will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
