Patricia A. Maeulen

Patricia “Tricia” (Shifflet) Maeulen, 77, of Williamsport, passed away on Saturday December 20th 2025, at her home with family by her side.

She was born on March 18, 1948 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Raleigh (Roy Sr.) and Christine (Lepore) Shifflet.

She was a graduate of Williamsport Area High School 1970 and continued her education at Lock Haven State College with a degree in elementary education. Tricia also received a Master’s Degree at Bloomsburg State College in Education. Tricia was married to C. Frederick Maeulen for 45 years until his death in 2020. Tricia was an elementary school teacher over 30 years upon retirement. She taught in Indian Head, Maryland School District and then Turbotville Elementary School in Warrior Run School District. After teaching, she worked part-time at Hodrick & Snyder Real Estate and Christian Light Bookstore.

She is survived by her son, Patrick, of Williamsport; three sisters, twin sister Barbara Strumsky (Larry), of Silver Spring, Maryland, Jodi Gerber Fitch (Dan), of Frederick, Maryland, Gerilyn Kauderman (John), of Val Rico, Florida, one brother, Joseph Shifflet (Noreen), of Williamsville, N.Y. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her two dogs, Bailey and Ruby.

In addition to her parents and husband, Tricia was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Shifflet Jr., one sister, Jill Lusk.

Tricia is noted by family as hosting many holiday meals and loved to decorate her home for every holiday. She was an avid reader.

Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Trinity Episcopal Church at 844 W. 4th Street, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, with reception to follow at the church. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
