Norma J. Peacock, 93, went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2025, at her home in Williamsport. Born on February 13, 1932, in Cogan Station, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Regina (Heinlen) Pentland.
Norma's early years were spent on her father's dairy farm, where she learned the values of hard work and the importance of family. These values carried into her marriage with her beloved husband, Max M. Peacock, who passed before her in 2021.
A dedicated homemaker, Norma's life was a testament to her unwavering commitment to her children: Janet M. Loffredo, Theron M. Peacock (Cathy), Joan L. Delker, Thann L. Peacock (Lani), and Trent R. Peacock (Lisa). Her love extended to her sister Dianne Cochran (Jim), her 13 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, 28 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life. Along with her parents and husband, Norma was also preceded in death by her son-in-law David Loffredo, her sisters Doris B. Weaver and Anna Mae Pentland.
Norma's adventurous spirit shone through in her love for snowmobiling with Max, and her creative side was evident in her embroidery skills. Norma also enjoyed 17 years of bowling at Harvest Moon, where she was honored with the prestigious 300 Game Club Award. Gardening and mowing were two of her favorite past-time activities (believed by family to be mostly instilled from her childhood on the farm). Faith was a guiding light in Norma’s life, providing her with strength and solace and she was a faithful member of the Steam Valley Bible Church since the early 1990s.
Funeral services to honor Norma’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport, with burial to follow at State Road Cemetery, Cogan Station. A viewing will be held prior from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the funeral home.
