Michael W. Hillman, age 57, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on September 30, 1967, in Corning, NY, he was a son of William and Vivian (Schroyer) Hillman.
Michael graduated from Williamsport High School in 1984 and attended W.A.C.C. He carried the values of hard work and dedication into his career as a truck driver for Millis and TLC. After his years of truck driving, Michael was a cab driver for Billtown Cab Co. and always enjoyed getting to know people while he drove them to their destination.
At home, Michael was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Kimberly Hillman, and a proud father to his children, Dylan Hillman (Haillee) of Hughesville, Mason Hillman of Milton, Gavin Hillman (Hannah) of Millville, Rachel Black of Montgomery, and Amanda Craver of Williamsport. He was a doting grandfather to Xander, Scarlett, Lennex, and Hudson, who brought immense joy and youthful energy to his life. His mother, Vivian Hillman, and several nieces and nephews also survive him. Michael was preceded in death by his father, William Hillman, and his brother, Todd Hillman and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Michael's interests were as varied as they were passionate. His skill in shooting pool was unmatched, and he spent many an evening with friends around the pool table. His love for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates was a source of excitement and camaraderie. Bird watching and photography were pursuits that allowed Michael to capture the beauty of the world around him. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and solitude by the water's edge and classic rock music filled his home, providing a soundtrack to the many moments of his life. Michael also had a vast model train collection and was a member of VFW Post 1665 in Milton.
A funeral service to honor the life of Michael will be held Sunday, September 21 at 1:00 p.m. at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave. Williamsport. There will be a viewing from noon until the time of service.
Burial will be private in Milton Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
