Mark Corson Obituary

Mark A. Corson, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, in his hometown of Williamsport, where he was also born on October 31, 1955 to the late Mike Corson and June (Mitcheltree) Corson.

Mark graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1973 and soon after began a lifelong career in construction, working for various local businesses.
An avid outdoorsman, Mark was a member of The Lone Walnut Hunting Club for 41 years. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for hunting and fishing.  To add to his adventures of the great outdoors, Mark would occasionally salmon fish in New York, and he had a green thumb with vegetable gardening, especially corn.

He is survived his wife, Anne L. (Shirley) Corson, who was the love of his life for many wonderful years. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory a son, Brian Corson, who, along with his wife Lisa, gave Mark the joy of being a grandfather to Delilah and Hunter Corson. Mark also embraced the role of step-grandfather to Alexis Dibble and step-great-grandfather to Hayden Dibble, cherishing the moments and memories they created together. Mark is also survived by his brother, Clyde Corson (Maxine), and step-sister, Ruthie Bresnock (Ed).

Along with his parents, Mark was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Dorothy Corson, and his step-brother, Steve Corson.

A celebration of Mark’s life will follow at a later date at the convenience of the family.
