Mark W. Carlisle, 65, of Williamsport, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at his home.
Born February 2, 1958, in Williamsport, he was the loving son of Faye M. Carlisle Thomas and Robert G. Thomas. Mark graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1976 and attended college at North American College of Phoenix, Arizona. Before retirement Mark worked in sales, including but not limited to real estate and vehicles. Mark enjoyed volunteering his time for the Williamsport Hospital and could be seen walking around town, getting in his daily exercise. Watching baseball and fishing in the Lycoming Creek were two ways Mark relaxed and he also loved volunteering and serving the Lord at his church, St. John’s United Methodist Church of Newberry.
Along with his parents, Mark is also survived by two sons, Mark Carlisle Camps and Jeremy Carlisle Camps; one sister, Cynthia Fox (Victor), and a granddaughter, Evelyn, and many nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by two brothers, Scott and Michael Carlisle.
A memorial service to honor the life of Mark will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will follow at Beech Valley Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
