Marguerite Wolfgang Obituary

Marguerite M. Wolfgang, 57, of Allenwood, affectionately known as “Max” or “Tiny”, a cherished wife and mother, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the University of Pa Medical Center. Born on October 15, 1967, in Williamsport, Marguerite was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her.

Marguerite was the beloved wife of Eric E. Wolfgang, with whom she shared nearly 40 years of unconditional love, after their unexpected meeting at the Roller Roost skating rink in 1986. Together, they built a life full of joy, raising two wonderful children, Jeremy and Emily Wolfgang.

She is also survived by two siblings, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. Her passing leaves a void not only in her family but also in the hearts of her wonderful friends and her three adored dogs, Bella, Jake, and Cooper. Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, Maynard Homler, Sr. and Margaret (Truax) Homler Welshans, as well as a brother.

A proud graduate of Williamsport Area High School and Williamsport Area Community College, where she earned her Associate in Nursing, Marguerite dedicated her life to caring for others. Her career as a Registered Nurse was marked by compassion and excellence, whether she was working at Williamsport Hospital in nurse and case management roles, serving as a private nurse for Janet Weis of Janet Weis Children's Hospital, or sharing her knowledge as a nursing instructor for Harrisburg Area Community College. Marguerite’s commitment to her profession also led her to Sycamore Nursing Home and Muncy Prison, where she touched many lives.

Marguerite’s interests were as colorful and vibrant as her personality. She enjoyed watching and collecting Wizard of Oz memorabilia and had a passion for arts and crafts, her scrapbooking albums are treasured chronicles of her family's memories. Her love for shopping at Hobby Lobby was only matched by her enthusiasm for board games, which she often played surrounded by her family. Marguerite took great pleasure in pampering herself with hair and nail treatments and cherished boating and camping trips with her loved ones. Her favorite color was purple, in all things, and she had a huge heart for animals.
