Margaret "Peggy" (Perry) Bower

     Margaret “Peggy” Bower of Jersey Shore passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Gatehouse just shy of celebrating her 80th birthday.

     Born November 20, 1943 in Williamsport she was a daughter of the late George R. Perry and Margaret E. (Reitmeyer) Newcomer, and a step daughter of the late L. Eugene Newcomer.

     Peggy was a 1962 graduate of Williamsport High School. She worked at Wundies and after 43 years of employment retired from Delta Gala.  A devoted family woman, Peggy's greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones. 

     Surviving are her daughters, Lisa Bower of Jersey Shore and Yvette Graver (Thomas) of Montoursville; two grandchildren, Collin and Alyssa Graver; two sisters, Louise Jean (Ron) of Williamsport and Nancy Farhat of Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronald and Bernard Perry. 

     A funeral service to honor Peggy’s life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 22 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at Knight-Confer.
