Lucille E. Rice

Lucille E. Rice, 96, of Montoursville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at WeCare at Loyalsock.

Born October 3, 1926 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Charles A., Sr. and Pauline M. (Carson) Rice.

Lucille was known by everybody as a hard worker. She often held three or four jobs at a time, and was like a second mother to her siblings and many of her nieces and nephews. Lucille was a sweet and wonderful person who would give you the shirt off her back.

Surviving Lucille are three siblings, Robert Rice (Carol), Charles Rice, Jr. (Penilee), and Geraldine Staver; four nieces, Carol Painton (Robert), Patti Howard (Roger), Dawn Shaffer (Troy), Hope Miller (Scott), and three nephews, Steven Favire (Susan), Mark Rice (Cindy), and Todd Rice.

In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerome and Sheldon Rice, and a nephew, John Rice.

Burial will be held at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
