Lindsey Irvin Hamilton, 66, of Williamsport, a cherished husband, father, Pappy, brother, and friend, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
Born on December 23, 1958, in Williamsport, Lindsey's journey began in the heart of a close-knit family, the beloved son of the late George L. Hamilton and Kathryn M. (Richards) Hamilton.
Professionally, Lindsey was a respected machine operator at Jersey Shore Steel, where he retired after many years of dedicated service. Lindsey's faith was an integral part of his life, and he was an active member of the Third Street Church. He was meticulous in anything he did including rebuilding model cars, woodworking and fabrication, and he was fascinated with tractors, both lawn and plow. Lindsey had an adventurous side that was always thrilled to go thrift store shopping, yard sale hopping, and dumpster diving. With a fun sense of humor, Lindsey enjoyed trying on silly hats at stores while dancing around, bringing a smile and laugh to people around him.
Lindsey's heart found its match in Theresa (Kauffman) Hamilton, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. He was a wonderful father to sons Michael L. (Natalie) and Sean R. (Danielle), daughter Sonya M. Hunter (Daniel), step-sons Allan Ramnath and Robert Ramnath, and step-daughters Vanessa A. Stone and Pamela Cage. A proud grandfather, Lindsey's legacy will continue through his seven grandchildren, Skylar, Austin, Seth, Owen, Ambria, Madison, and Parker, and four step-grandchildren, Taha, Empress, Julisah, and Izzy. He is also survived by his brothers Richard W. (Roxanne), George L. "Larry" (Becky), Gary L. (Terry), and twin brother Lindey “Pete” A. (Ruth). Along with his parents, Lindsey was also preceded in death by his sisters, the late Judy A. DelJanovan, Hazel E. "Peggy" Winters, and Janet Crist.
Funeral services to honor Lindsey’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2025, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport. The family will receive friends prior from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the funeral home.
