Kenneth Dunlap Obituary

Kenneth Paul Dunlap, known affectionately as Ken by his loved ones, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at UPMC of Williamsport.

Ken was born in Williamsport on October 30, 1959, a beloved son of R. Elaine (Probst) Probasco and the late Kenneth L. Dunlap, and the cherished step-son of Virgil Probasco. He shared a special bond with his devoted sister, Edith "Edie" Dunlap, and best friend Jay Terry. He closely carried with him, the memory of his late brother, Timothy Mark Dunlap.

After graduating from South Williamsport High School in 1977, Ken enlisted in the United States Navy in 1978. During his six years of service, he displayed an unwavering commitment to his country while stationed on the USS John F. Kennedy. His time in the Navy not only honed his skills as an electronic technician but also instilled in him values that would guide his civilian career in electronic manufacturing, from which he eventually retired.

Ken was an avid outdoorsman, with a love for fishing at his favorite spot, Larry's Creek in Jersey Shore. Canoeing was also a fond hobby along with astronomy, which he enjoyed star and planet gazing with his many telescopes.
