Joan Stubler Obituary

Joan F. Stubler, 67, of Williamsport passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Valley View Nursing Home.

Born August 5, 1957 in Renovo, she was a daughter of the late Paul Francis and Kathryn Louise (Carlson) Sackarnoski.

Joan was a 1975 graduate of Williamsport High School. She worked at the former Williamsport National Bank for 32 years ending her career as controller. She went on to UNB Bank in Mount Carmel for eight years and then retired. Joan was a member of the former Church of the Savior Lutheran, where she served on church council and as Treasurer. Joan was a member of the “Pool Hoppers Club” which she enjoyed in retirement.

Joan is survived by a great circle of friends, Amy (Stan), Sherree (Bobby), Sue (Paul), Pam, Mar, Deb, Karen (Jim), Bonnie, special neighbor Mike and two cousins, Lisa Jo Grieb and Rick Vanek.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Jean F. Sackarnoski.

A memorial service to honor the life of Joan will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave. Williamsport. There will be a visitation from 6 p.m. until the time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
