Harry F. Stiner, 85, of Montoursville, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, at his home. Born on February 8, 1940, in South Williamsport, Harry was a beloved son of the late Paul A. Stiner and Mildred A. (Kiessling) Stiner. His passing marks the end of a generation, as he was the last of his immediate family.
Harry's life was a testament to his dedication and love for his family. He was a devoted husband to Victory L. (Smith) Stiner for 68 years, and together they raised a family of four children who brought them ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. His legacy is carried on through his loving family, including numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He will also be dearly missed by his beloved granddog, Brewzer.
Harry was self-employed throughout his life, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit in various ventures. His professional journey included carpet and flooring installation, but he was perhaps best known as the proud owner of Montour Bowling Lanes, where he shared his passion for bowling with the community. His dedication to the sport was recognized when he was inducted into the Lycoming County Bowling Hall of Fame in 2001.
Harry's love for sports extended beyond the bowling alley. He was an enthusiastic coach for Little League and Pop Warner Football, where he mentored young athletes and instilled in them the values of teamwork and perseverance. His love for the game was matched only by his loyalty to his favorite teams, the Phillies and the Eagles, whose games he never missed.
Services to honor Harry’s life will be private and held at the convenience of his family.
