Grover C. Dockey, 97, of Williamsport, died Monday, Jan. 11, 2021 at his residence.
Born Oct. 6, 1923 in Williamsport, he was the son for the late Grover C. Sr. and Mildred Kriner Dockey.
Grover was an Army veteran and served in the European Theater during World War II.
He was the owner and operator of the former Dockey's Mobile which was located on Lycoming Creek Road. Grover retired as a carrier from the U.S. Postal service in 1985.
He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda Davis (Donald) of Williamsport, and Bonnie Tebbs (Gifford) of Cogan Station; grandchildren, Mark Tebbs (Grayce) and Keith Tebbs (Denise); great-grandchildren, Phylicia Tebbs (Josh), Marissa James (Dylan), Bryana Tebbs, McKenzie Tebbs (Caleb), and Matthew Tebbs; and great-great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Liam and Elliott.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Adaline C. (Robertson) Dockey; second wife, Mildred S. (Mull) Dockey; a sister, Mary Moore; nephews, Douglas and Grover Moore; and niece, Mary Moore.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
