Glennore Funk Sunderland, 67, of Cogan Station, passed away on July 26, 2019 in her home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 21 years, William R. Sunderland.
Born June 20, 1952 she was a daughter of the late Glenn and Doris J. (Guilliver) Funk of Germania Well Drilling.
Glennore was a 1970 graduate of Williamsport High School. She also received a Carpentry certificate from Williamsport Area Community College. With that certificate, she went on to build a dome house of her own and for others. Glennore enjoyed playing piano and doing embroidery. She liked to have a good time always hosting parties at the Dome, going to see bands, and waitressing at many local establishments.
She had formerly attended Balls Mills United Methodist Church and was an honorary member of the Humane Society. Recently, she adored cuddling on the couch with her cat, Stormy, watching Lifetime movies, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees.
She is survived by her daughter, Nikki S. Harsch (Shawn) of Linden, three grandchildren; Stuart G. W. Harsch of Linden, Jaid T. Harsch (Stephen Smeltzer) of Avis, and Piper M. Harsch of Lock Haven, one great-grandchild; Lawson E. Smeltzer, two brothers; Edward C. Funk (Connie) and Vernon R. Funk both of Cogan Station, and one sister; Norma L. Funk Hatfield (Thomas) of Payson, AZ.
A memorial service to honor the life of Glennore will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, August 17 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Avenue, Williamsport. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
