Freeda M. "Sis" Miller, 80, of Trout Run, died peacefully Tuesday June 4, 2019, at Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Richard A. Miller Sr., on March 7, 2015.
Born July 4, 1938, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Clara (Lowmiller) Tubbs.
Freeda worked as a seamstress for Wundies until her retirement. She was a member of Trout Run Volunteer Fire Company and the former ladies auxiliary president. Freeda also enjoyed gardening, sewing and most of all spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons, Richard A. Miller (Deborah), of South Williamsport, and David A. Miller (Brenda), of Williamsport; two daughters, Joyce A. Wheeland, of Montoursville, and Carol A. Nash (Don), of Trout Run; a sister, Doris Letcher, of Candor, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Freeda is preceded in death by six siblings, June, Carl, Clinton, Ada, Leona Mae and Lib; and a son-in-law, Curtis Wheeland.
A funeral service to honor the life of Freeda will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. A viewing will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 10, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
