Floyd C. Lundy

Floyd C. Lundy, 78, of Middlebury Center, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Bath VA Medical Center. Born on July 15, 1947, in Williamsport, he was the only son of the late Earl C. Lundy and Lucille E. (Bieber) Lundy.

Floyd's passion for speed and competition found its expression early in life when he started participating in local races with his own race car. His love of NASCAR racing remained a highlight of his life. Floyd was also a veteran, proudly serving his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War.

Floyd is survived by his three children, Melissa Wynn (Lynn LaPoint), Michelle Short (Kevin), and Michael Lundy (Stephanie); three sisters, Shirley Whipple, Nancy Wirth (Jack), and Amy Baker (Steve); five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many extended family members. Along with his parents, Floyd was also preceded in death by his sister, Debra Lundy.

Services to honor Floyd’s life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
