Eva Belle (Lehman) Sweitzer

Eva Belle Sweitzer, 99 and a half, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024 at UPMC Williamsport.

Born at home August 9, 1924 in Limestone Twp. in the Nippenose Valley, she was the daughter of Ernest and Kathryn Eck Lehman.

She was a 1942 graduate of Jersey Shore High School. A wife and mother until 1969 when she went to work. Eva Belle retired as a sales clerk at Willard’s Saddlery, though her passion was her church work with Lutheran Church Women and Church Women United where she served in many roles and positions. Eva Belle was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Carl R. Sweitzer in 2003 and her eldest son Harold in 2018.

Eva Belle is survived by her youngest son Loren, and her grandson Patrick (Cierra).

There will be no services at this time. Interment and services will be held in Jersey Shore Cemetery at a future date.
