Elsie I. (Heller) Persun

Elsie I. Persun, 86, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Muncy Place. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy G. Persun.

Born January 25, 1937, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Julianna E. (Lyons) Heller.

Elsie was a graduate of the Williamsport Area High School and worked for Canteen Vending in the commissary for many years.

Elsie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved and cherished raising her family and enjoyed spending time with people.

Surviving are her three sons Charles L. "Chuck" Persun (Anne) of Williamsport, William S. "Scott" Persun (Christine) of Jersey Shore, Wesley M. Persun (Michelle) of Montoursville; three daughters Tammy J. Persun of Williamsport, Kellie Jo Miller of Watsontown, Loralee Freeman (Brian) of Plymouth, and Amy S. Connors (Sherry) of Pahrump, NV; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and her companion, Joseph Pinkerton of Williamsport.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Heller; and a sister, Janet Winder.

A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 3, at Nisbet Volunteer Fire Co 166 W Village Dr, Nisbet, PA 17702.
