Elaine K. (Bower) Springman, 82, of Cogan Station, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at home. She celebrated 57 years of marriage with the late Harry W. Springman, Jr.
Born January 18, 1943, in Cogan Station, she was a daughter of the late Carl L. Bower and Viola (Hakes) Bower Younkin. Elaine was a 1960 graduate of Williamsport Area High School. She was employed by GTE Sylvania and retired from Sovereign Bank. Elaine was a member of Balls Mills United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Mark A. (Kelly) Springman of Cogan Station, and a daughter Lisa M. (Richard) Fulkrod of Brookside, grandson Justin (Corey) Myers of Brookside, and a granddaughter Rikki (Jason) McElroy of Montgomery. Four great-grandchildren, Kayden, Austin, and Landon Myers, and Harlee McElroy. She is also survived by sisters Carlene (Dorland) Eck and Judith Welty.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Richard L. Springman, sisters, Connie L. Wheeland and Patricia A. Childress, and a brother Robert L. “Sam” Bower.
In keeping with Elaine’s wishes, there will be no services. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
