Doris E. Stevens

Doris E. Stevens, 86, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Heritage Springs Memory Care of Montoursville.

Born May 22, 1939, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Harold William and Sara Agusta (Morehart) Beamer. A graduate of Williamsport Area High School, Doris embarked on a fulfilling and dedicated career as a controller at Trimtex. Doris savored life's simple pleasures. She was an exceptional baker, known for treating her loved ones to her delicious creations and she found contentment in cleaning and organizing. Long walks, sight-seeing, and spending quality time with family were among the activities that brought her significant joy.

She nurtured a home filled with warmth and was the proud step-mother to Robert G. Stevens Arthur and a doting grandmother to Ellie M. Raffensperger (Tyler). Doris held her relationship with her brother, William Beamer, close to her heart, as well as the connections with her many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Doris was also preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert G. Stevens, Jr.; her brothers Glenn H. Beamer, Clyde Beamer, Clarence Beamer; and her sisters, Lois Welch and Sarah "Sally" Zellars.

In keeping with Doris’ wishes, there will be no services. She will be privately laid to rest with her husband at Oak Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
