Donna K. Kinley, 86, of Williamsport passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at The Williamsport Home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, George H. Kinley Jr.
Born on June 9, 1937, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Donald P. and Anna R. (Mensch) Karicher.
Donna was a 1955 graduate of Williamsport Area High School. Following her graduation, she dedicated herself to a life of service, working as a nurse's aide at both the Williamsport Hospital and Williamsport Home & Homemakers Inc. Her work was more than just a job; it was a calling that allowed her to bring comfort and care to those in need.
She was a devoted member of St. Paul Calvary United Methodist Church and a participant in several different Bible study groups including Bible Study Fellowship. Donna volunteered as a band parent supporting her daughter Karen through her high school years as well as a volunteer for the cancer society, demonstrating her selfless spirit and deep desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Donna enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Her love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life, and she cherished the moments she spent with her loved ones.
Donna is survived by her two sons, John R. Kinley (Laura) of West Virginia, and Kenneth J. Kinley (Joy) of Cogan Station; a daughter, Karen A. Kinley of Cogan Station; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Deanna J. Miller of Allentown, Darlene Ann Gray (Ron) of Cogan Station, and Doris L. Hoffman of Allentown.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Karicher Jr.
A funeral service to honor the life of Donna will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, October 29 at St. Paul Calvary United Methodist Church, 1427 Memorial Ave., Williamsport with Pastor Ann Runnels. A viewing will be held from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at the church.
Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Wildwood Cemetery. Donna gave personally to several charities and memorial contributions may be made in Donna’s name to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 862 Carnegie, PA 15106 or to St. Paul Calvary Church 1427 Memorial Ave. Williamsport, PA 17701 or to charity of donor’s choice.
