Diane E. (Flynn) Hoover

Diane E. (Flynn) Hoover, 64, of South Williamsport, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at UPMC Williamsport surrounded by members of her family.

Born February 9, 1959, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Carmon and Joan (Budd) Flynn, Sr.

Diane was a 1977 graduate of South Williamsport Area High School and a graduate of Rutgers University in New Jersey.

Diane enjoyed listening to 50’s and 60’s, Country and Christian music. She loved going camping and being outdoors. She loved children, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Children just seemed to gravitate towards her. Diane had a big heart and was always willing to help a child who needed it.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred E. Hoover. She and Alfred would have been together 31 years this coming November 2023. Also surviving are her children, Pamela Bower (Robert), Timothy Hoover, Douglas Hoover (Christie), and Amy May (Warren); 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister Deb Wells; a brother Carmon Flynn, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Jam and Princess.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ivory Rose Embick.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no memorial services.
