Deborah L. Goodmond

Deborah L. Goodmond, 65, of Williamsport, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the Gatehouse.

Deborah was the beloved wife of the late Tyrone, with whom she shared a few devoted years of marriage. Their bond was one rooted in love, commitment, and family.

Born in Philadelphia, Deborah was the only daughter of Charles and Lillian (Wise) Goodmond. Known affectionately as “Deb,” she was full of life and always on the move. Whether traveling by car or plane, Deborah embraced every opportunity to experience the world and truly live. Music brought her joy, and she especially loved line dancing - often dancing her way straight into the hearts of those around her.

Deborah’s life was a powerful testimony of strength, faith, and perseverance. Nearly 20 years ago, she made the life-changing decision to give her life to Christ and walk a path of sobriety. She took immense pride in her recovery journey and was deeply committed to her Narcotics Anonymous meetings, where she found purpose, community, and the opportunity to uplift others through her story. Deborah never hesitated to encourage, inspire, and extend grace to those who needed it most.

She was a devoted mother to her children: Chiquita, George, Caleisha, Porschea, Jason, and James; proud grandmother to 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; each of whom brought her immeasurable joy. Deborah’s love for her family was unwavering, and her presence was a source of strength, laughter, and guidance.

Deborah was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. Her impact on those who knew her is immeasurable, and her legacy of faith, resilience, and love will live on through the many lives she touched.
