David Lee Hess

David Lee Hess, affectionately known as David by his loved ones, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, in his hometown of Williamsport where he was also born on November 15, 1952. David's life was one of joy, dedication, and kindness, and his passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will be cherished forever.

Graduating from Williamsport Area High School, David’s work ethic was evident early in his life. He carried this dedication into his professional career, providing years of committed service stocking at Weis Markets, where he was a familiar and friendly face.

David had a passion for the thrill of the casino, the tranquility of fishing, and the freedom of the open road behind the wheel of his Corvette. These hobbies provided not just recreation but also opportunities to make lifelong friends and share his vibrant spirit with those around him.

David was preceded in death by his loving parents, Milford "Dale" Hess and Eleanor (Vogel) Hess Miller, as well as his step-siblings Patricia, Joyce, and Jerry. He leaves behind his brother, Joseph W. "Joe" Hess, his sister, Darlene A. Hepler, and many extended family members.

A visitation to honor David will be held from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport.
