Danny R. Marshall

Danny R. Marshall, 70, of Williamsport, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at Geisinger of Danville. Born on October 9, 1955, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Raymond and Frances (MacGorman) Marshall. Danny's life was marked by his dedication to his family and his passion for his work.

A proud alumnus of Pennsylvania State University, Danny graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. His education laid the foundation for a successful career as a self-employed Certified Public Accountant. He was well-respected in the community, providing tax services to individuals and businesses, including the Williamsport School District. His clients valued his expertise, integrity, and the personal attention he gave to each of them.

Danny's interests were as unique and vibrant as his personality. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, and member of the NRA. He could often be found outside riding his tractor and meticulously maintaining his yard. Danny also had a passion for collecting, from ceramic dolls to Coca-Cola memorabilia. He thoroughly enjoyed his visits to the casino, which were not just about the games; they were about the experience, the excitement, and the stories he would share afterwards.

He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Ruth E. Marshall, and their children: Tammy Hamilton (Rodney Bond), Drema Hall (Corey), Connie Shaffer, Alta Campbell, Amy Marshall, Thane Marshall (Emalana), and Tobin Marshall. Danny was a proud Pappy to 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter into his life. He is also remembered by his sisters, Nancy Walker (Michael), and Donna Huckabee, along with many nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly.

Along with his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his sons Shane and Dwaine Marshall, his brother Randy Marshall, and his sister Laurie Marshall, each of them holding a special place in his heart.

A viewing will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport.

Funeral services to honor Danny’s life will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
