Connie L. Dershem, 85, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Edenbrook North. Born on May 15, 1940, in Williamsport, PA, she was a daughter of the late George A. Seddon and Genevieve Button Shafer.
Connie's talents in the home were unparalleled. She was an exceptional baker and cook, always experimenting with new recipes to the delight of her family and friends. Her home was not only a place of comfort and solace but also a hub of creativity and learning, where she passed on her skills to the next generations. Connie was a dedicated member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Connie's life was rich with the joys of motherhood. She raised four wonderful children, Corey M. Dershem (Jen) of Williamsport, Thomas D. Dershem of Connersville, IN, James L. Dershem, III (Deanne) of Palm Bay, FL, and Joseph A. Dershem of Linden.
Her legacy continued to blossom with her eight grandchildren, Thomas, Tori, Rachel, Caleb, Rebekah, Micah, Lyndsy, and Jakob, as well as her eight great-grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, instilling in them the values of kindness and compassion that she embodied.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Dershem, Jr. and her brother, Thomas Seddon.
A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Montoursville Cemetery.
Connie’s family would like to thank UPMC Family Hospice and the staff at Edenbrook North for all of their care and comfort.
