Clarice Ringler Obituary

     Clarice M. Ringler, 92, of Williamsport, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019, at ManorCare Health Services North. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Walter L. "Bud" Ringler Jr., on June 8, 2003.

     Born July 4, 1927, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Clavence and Lettie (Miller) Morrison.

     Clarice was a member of the former Annunciation Catholic Church, now St. Joseph the Worker Parish. She loved playing cards with her grandchildren, was an avid reader, enjoyed sharing her favorite recipes and had a great sense of humor. Clarice was a devoted Christian and said a novena prayer for all her family members every morning.

     Surviving are her children, Robert A. McQuillen (Lois), Claudette (McQuillen) Signor, and Maryalice (McQuillen) Crist, all of Williamsport, and Cecilia (McQuillen) Leone (Jeff), of Wyomissing; 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren with one on the way, and 15 great-great-grandchildren with one of the way.

     In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Michael E. Signor Sr., a brother, Carl Morrison, two sisters, Mary Miller, and Ruth Hill, and twin grandsons.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 26, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, with Rev. Brian F. VanFossen officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport, a Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
