Cheryl M. (Markle) "Cherry" Cochran, 70, of Williamsport, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, at UPMC Susquehanna-Williamsport. She was married to Terry L. Cochran and they celebrated 52 years of marriage on June 18.
Born July 6, 1948, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Harold "Red" and Martha (Rose) Markle.
Cherry loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Louis "Rick" Cochran and Blaine Cochran; a daughter, Jeannette Cochran, all of Williamsport; a sister, Marilyn "Peach," of Montoursville; a brother, Harold Markle, of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many niece and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Singer; a sister, Beverly Singer; a great-granddaughter; and a daughter-in-law.
A memorial service to honor the life of Cherry will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
