Caroline "Carole" Helt Obituary

Caroline T. "Carole" Helt, 74, of Williamsport, passed away into the loving arms of her Savior and on to her heavenly home on Thursday, March 4, 2021 with her family by her side.

Born May 25, 1946, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Stanley J. Kuzio, Sr. and Antoinette (Matkowski) Kuzio.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish and previously Holy Rosary Church for many years. She was a 1964 graduate of the Williamsport High School.

She cherished her children and grandchildren and spent as much time with them as she possibly could throughout her lifetime.

She had an amazing zest for life and loved to take on any project with love and compassion. She enjoyed so many activities; painting, cake decorating, sewing to name a few, and always had many projects going at the same time. She would often say, there just isn’t enough time in one lifetime to enjoy the many gifts God has blessed me with. As well, she loved to cook and bake, and her peanut butter pie was an absolute winner!

Her theory was: it’s NEVER too late to Live, Laugh, and Love to the fullest!! And…She certainly did enjoy life to the fullest (especially her last years)! She had the voice of an angel and always loved music. She was often seen going to the gym (in colorful attire), and tapping her foot to the beat of the tunes on her iPhone, while she moved those weights! A highlight of her life- she called the gym "a healthy playground for seniors".

Her favorite motto was: "By all means,-- if someone does you good---PAY IT FORWARD!—It’s a good feelin’!"---but her favorite verse was: "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me!---AMEN."

Caroline is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Caroline Brue of Williamsport, and her son Christopher Edward Helt of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren Kevin Anderson, Karilyn Joy, and Kathryn Anne Brue of Williamsport; two sisters Violet Ennis (Gerald) of Williamsport and Kathryn Miller of West Mifflin, ; a brother William Kuzio (Barbara) of Bellefonte; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Edward and Stanley Kuzio, Jr., a sister Marian Fedorowicz, and son-in-law Kevin Brue.

A celebration of Caroline’s Life Mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 9 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish 702 W 4th St, Williamsport. We ask that you please wear a face covering as we comply with COVID-19 regulations. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers. Upon suggestion of the family, it was Caroline’s wish that friends remember her by passing on a kind deed to a person or persons in need. She often stated that everyone you know is going through something, and the smallest gesture could end up being a life-saver for someone. If desired a donation may be made in Caroline’s memory to the Lupus Foundation of America at www.lupus.org.

She IS and ALWAYS WILL BE deeply missed….
