Bonnie J. Hampsher, 77, of Cogan Station, died Sunday, January 9, 2022 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Lawrence G. Hampsher Sr.
Born March 31, 1944, in Emporium, she was a daughter of the late Cecil Smith and Elouise (Walker) Brown.
Bonnie was a member of First Southern Baptist Church and a quilting club. Bonnie and her late husband Larry were founding members of the church, starting through a bible study at their home in 1968.
Bonnie was a graduate of the Williamsport Area High School. She worked many years as a secretary at New York Life Insurance Company and retired from the Children and Youth Services. Bonnie enjoyed quilting, crafts, sewing, and crocheting. She loved her family, friends, church family and her God.
Surviving are her two sons, Lawrence G. "Butch" Hampsher Jr. (Tammy) of Lock Haven and Timothy S. Hampsher (Lindy) of Canton; and five grandchildren Jayme, Alyssa, Jay (Rebecca), Logan, and Miranda Hampsher; a great-grandson Trevor; and best friend Donna Gramling.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Bud Smith and a sister Joanne Brehm.
Services are to be announced at a later date.
