Alice D. (Brooks) Fullerton

Alice D. Fullerton, 94, formerly of Linden, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Heritage Springs Memory Care. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James E. "Red" Fullerton on February 19, 2020.

Born July 7, 1929, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Harry L. and Ora D. (Douty) Brooks.

Alice was a 1946 graduate of the Jersey Shore Area High School and retired from Northern Central Bank after many years in the bookkeeping and loan departments. She was a member of the Lycoming Christian Church. Alice was an excellent seamstress, cook, and enjoyed coloring and other crafts. Alice was known for the special bond she shared with her dogs, they were not just pets but family members who provided her with comfort, companionship, and endless happiness. Most of all she loved going to Canada fishing with her late husband, Red, and her grandchildren.

Surviving are her three children, Carl C. Russel (Linda) of Tx., Deborah C. Smith (Tim) of Watsontown, and Noel C. Russell (Tammy) of Jersey Shore; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Harold, Dennis, and Larry Brooks.

A funeral service to honor the life of Alice will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 18 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home 1914 Memorial Avenue, Williamsport. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home. Burial will be held privately in State Road Cemetery.
