Ada Rider Obituary

Ada M. Rider, 90, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, at Heritage Springs Memory Care in Muncy.

Born on April 18, 1935, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Stanton R. and Olive V. (Sear) Camp. Ada graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1953 and began her career with Bell Telephone, now AT&T, as a telephone operator. Her talents were many, and she was lovingly regarded as a master seamstress, an excellent cook and baker, a gardener, and a skilled watercolor painter. Her hands were rarely still, and she could do anything she set her mind to, always creating something beautiful.

Ada is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Eldon B. Rider loving family, two daughters Brenda L. Stubler (Tom Nau) and Kelly L. Baier (Mark); four grandchildren, Jolie Conahan (Patrick), Devon Prentiss (Jamie), Duane Baier, and Jordan Baier; and three great-grandchildren, Abel Conahan, Ezra Prentiss, and Aurie Prentiss. Ada also leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sisters, Mary R. Cremo and Carol A. Beck; and lots of love for her dogs. Along with her parents, Ada was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, James Stubler and brother, George W. Camp.

A visitation will be held 10 a.m. until 11.am. Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Farragut United Methodist Church with a memorial service to honor Ada’s life to follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
