Wayne T. Aderhold, 80, of Hughesville, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019, at his home. Surviving is his wife of 20 years, Beulah M. (Earnest) Shannon Aderhold.
Born July 29, 1938, at home in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Truman E. and Florence O. (Harman) Aderhold.
Wayne was a graduate of Williamsport High School. After graduation he proudly served in the U.S. Army and later retired from Sylvania after 37 years of employment. He formerly attended Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 866, Muncy, and the American Legion Post No. 104. Wayne was a people person, loved going on long drives and enjoyed walking, traveling, playing poker, puzzles and going to casinos. He also enjoyed watching Penn State football, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a brother, Thomas E. Aderhold (Doris), of Moosic, a sister, Shirley Sechrist, of Williamsport, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jarvis and William Aderhold, and eight sisters, Pauline West, Maxine Aderhold, Joyce Weitzel, Mary Jane Huckenstein, Corabelle Sicardi, Gladys Livermore, Joanne Aderhold, and Phyllis Brown.
Wayne had the privilege of donating his body to science and a memorial service to honor the life of Wayne will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
