Terry D. Scarborough Sr., 82, of Williamsport, passed away, Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018, at Rose View Center. Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Caroline R. (Bendick) Scarborough.
Born Dec. 10, 1935, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Jay R. and Elsie C. (Edkin) Scarborough.
Terry was a 1953 graduate of Williamsport High School. Following graduation he served in the United States Navy and later retired from Williamsport Bureau of Fire as an engineer. After retirement Terry worked part time as a painter.
Terry enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening and especially loved spending time at his camp along Pine Creek. He was also a talented artist and enjoyed painting pictures and rocks.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his three children, Terry J. Scarborough Jr. (Leslie), of Galway, N.Y., Tammy R. Kerstetter (Brian), of Lewisburg, and Tracy A. Billings (Jason), of Elizabethtown; and seven grandchildren, Emily A. and Thomas J. Scarborough, Tylar A. and Carter A. Kerstetter, and Connor J., Kyle S., and Quinn P. Billings.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Penny Bresnick.
A memorial service to honor the life of Terry will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
