Shirley A. Maiolo, 79, of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at the Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital.
Born May 24, 1939, in Canton, she was a daughter of the late Anna V. (Lake) Leonard.
Shirley was formerly employed at GTE Sylvania and Shop-Vac Corporation and later retired from Weis Markets after many years. She was a member of Garden View Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, book collector and talented baker. In her younger years she enjoyed sewing and more recently loved watching golf.
Surviving are her two sons, Harry W. Maiolo, Jr. (Cindy) and Gary A. Fioretti, both of Williamsport; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, William Leonard (Kathy), of New York; and four sisters, Helen Reed, of Canton, Marie Kriner, of Williamsport, Marjorie Taynton (William), of Moscow, and Barbara Avery (Alvah), of Canton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Jean Funk, Marian Hiskett and Martha Johnson.
A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Garden View Baptist Church, 1600 Doris Ave., Williamsport with the Rev. Robert M. Vance officiating.
Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
